A Pennsylvania state Senator who has proposed banning Alison Bechdel’s “Fun Home” includes on his book ban list, Mike Curato’s “Flamer,” an LGBTQ youth book that has won over 20 national book awards and recognitions. Pennsylvania State Senator Ryan Aument who serves Lancaster and has authored state legislation called worse than Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, said his proposed legislation is not a book ban.
